Piedmont Airlines Bargaining Report - September 24, 2024
Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Piedmont Bargaining committee on September 17-19.
The Union and the Company passed the following articles:
- Article 3: Seniority
- Article 4: Filling of Vacancies
- Article 6: Hours of Service
- Article 8: Overtime
- Article 9: Training
- Article 10: Uniforms
- Article 11: Holidays
- Article 12: Vacations
- Article 13: Compensation
- Article 14: Leaves of Absence
- Article 17: Benefits
- Article 18: Safety and Health
The Company began the session by providing an economic proposal, which covered wages and other economic articles. The Company has yet to respond to our proposal on profit sharing, which is the same as other AAG units. The Union responded to all the economic proposals.
While we had meaningful discussions and did reach an agreement on Seniority there are still some language items where we can’t agree, and we are very far apart on wages, holidays and vacation.
The bargaining dates for October have changed. The new dates are October 22-24.
This is where members can make the difference to move the contract bargaining forward. Mobilization is critical at this stage of bargaining. We need to show the Company we are united for a strong contract. Join us in our next action to show the Company they need to do better. Sign up at your station to participate in an informational picket.
